Artist's Statement

As a teacher I learned to enjoy the many different media I taught in my classes. Recently I have been exploring linoleum and monoprints, oil portraits, acrylic painting,and woven baskets. I often feature the people, animals, and land of my native Kansas in my prints and paintings. I love to watch the colorful Kansas sky at sunrise and sunset. When possible I choose to use these strong colors and contrasts in my work.
